Malloch McClean's 4.5 Day Work Week
You probably know by now that it’s our goal and passion to make businesses better—and that includes our own! In December last year we moved our team to a 4.5-day work week, which means working from 8:30am to 5pm Monday through Thursday and leaving at 12:30pm on Fridays. This arrangement has worked so well, we extended the schedule until the end of February, and again until the end of March. Since then, we have seen a lot of positive changes and are excited to announce that our new hours will be further extended until the end of April.
What led us to break the status quo?
We believe that with the help of technology, tools and good planning, we can continue to provide the same high level of support to our wonderful client base while also supporting our team members in their work/life balance. Research has shown that teams working 4.5-day weeks are happier, more engaged, and more productive. Making businesses better is what we do; this is one way we’re doing it in our own organisation.
