Malloch McClean Team Update

Malloch Mcclean Team Update

The Malloch McClean team has seen some changes this year, and we wanted to keep you—our valued clients—up-to-date.

After almost 44 years, Jeremy McClean has deservedly decided to have longer weekends and is now working a four day week. He will continue to have a significant involvement within Malloch McClean, continuing to mentor many of our team members and clients.

As Jeremy steps down, others are stepping up to fill those shoes. Here are a few other team changes we’d like to share with you:

  • John Schol has taken on the Chairman of the Board, after 12 years as CEO. During his tenure as CEO, he made significant changes in moving us into a modern accounting environment. John holds a number of positions with Chartered Accountants Australia New Zealand, along with being a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors and a director on Invercargill City Holdings (HoldCo). John has grown a significant reputation as a leading Business Coach and is often working with many business owners across NZ.

  •  Blair Evans, in 2018 joined the team as a director and in a Business Development role, has come in as our new CEO. We are looking forward to his direction with his passion for coaching and growing people’s skills. Blair came from the rural banking industry, lives on his farm at Tussock Creek, and understands the opportunities and challenges that face the rural sector. His experience and knowledge is an asset to our team and clients.
  • Tracey Gibb has been promoted to a Principal position, after 17 years with Malloch McClean. Tracey’s tax knowledge and ability to work with clients on their Trust Reviews has been instrumental in building strong customer relationships and helping our clients get ahead faster.
  • Michael Hunter has also been promoted to a Principal position after building a successful client base with Malloch McClean. He specialises in rural accounting and always looks beyond the numbers, helping his clients navigate what can be at times a challenging path, as a result he has been a great resource for our agribusiness clients.

Congratulations to those that are moving into new roles within Malloch McClean, helping us continue on our path in creating smarter, better businesses for our team and clients.
