Susan Burke - BCom CA
Client Services Manager

 

Susan joined Malloch McClean in 1985 as an Accounting Trainee. After three years of working and studying part time she went to Otago University to finish her degree. Graduating in December 1989 she returned to Malloch McClean and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1990.

During her time Susan has been involved in the training and mentoring of accounting trainees and graduate accountants as they work towards gaining their qualifications.

Susan is currently the Client Services Manager of one of the four accounting teams as well as serving her clients.

Away from work Susan likes to spend time with her husband Chris and their two daughters, play bridge, garden and relaxing. She is also secretary of the school PTA.

Juliana Kean - ACA

 
Juliana started with Malloch McClean in July 2000 after a short stint in the UK. Previous to that she had spent two years studying at SIT and six years in another Chartered Accountancy firm.

During her time at Malloch McClean she has returned to SIT to complete further BCom papers and last year qualified as an Associate Chartered Accountant.

Juliana’s current role as a Senior Accountant combines working for a range of clients and managing the tax system for Malloch McClean.

Juliana enjoys spending her spare time with family, creating patchwork quilts and reading.

Trudy Heads - BCom CA

 
Trudy commenced with us as an Accounting Trainee on 1 February 1988. She attained her BCom through Otago University, and gained her CA qualification in 1993. She works part-time, as she has a young family that occupies a lot of her time still.

She is also a fully qualified Adjudicator and Tutor of Highland Dancing, and is currently President of the Southland Branch of Teachers and Judges of Highland Dancing.

 

Tracey Adendorff

 
Tracey joined the team in March 2007 after settling in Winton following her emigration from South Africa in March 2006.  Prior to this she worked for a Chartered Accounting firm in Timaru.

She commenced with her Accounting Technician Diploma in Timaru at the Aoraki Polytechnic and continued with this at the Southern Institute of Technology.

 

She has two young daughters and currently works part time for Malloch McClean.  She enjoys the challenges of motherhood while simultaneously being able to continue her Accounting career.  She enjoys a variety of hobbies for relaxation, including art and crafts, sewing and piano playing.

 

Adele Scandrett - BCom DipGrad ACA

 

Adele started at Malloch McClean in 2003 as an after school filer and office junior and became and accounting trainee at the beginning of 2004.

Adele completed a Bachelor of Commerce and a Diploma for Graduates at Otago University.  She has passed PCE1 and is working on her chartered accountancy exam this year.

This year Adele has been training and mentoring the junior Accounting Trainee on team.

Adele is an active member of the Southland Steam Engine Club and enjoys attending vintage rallies and spending time on her Dad’s traction engine. 

Matthew McCallum
 
 
Matthew joined the Malloch McClean team in 2009 as a trainee accountant.  Prior to this he attended Southland Boys’ High School and completed his 7th form year in 2008.  Matthew intends to become a fully fledged Chartered Accountant through the traineeship program at the Southern Institute of Technology and Otago University.

From 2005 to 2008 Matthew worked part-time at Woolworths Waikiwi as an after school job.  In his spare time Matthew enjoys playing plenty of sport.  He focuses mainly on cricket and golf playing cricket for Appleby in the senior competition in the summer and during the winter plays golf in the aim of making the top representative team.  He also plays hockey for the United senior reserve side which won the competition in 2008!
