Kay Thomson - ACA

Kay joined Malloch McClean in 1979 as a Trainee Accountant. Partway through 1986 Kay left full time employment to become a mother. During the period 1986 to 1999 she worked from home during the firm’s busy period fitting it around the busy life of three children.
She was also involved in many treasurers’ positions on various local committees and organisations.
Kay returned to working in the office during 1999. In 2003 she completed the necessary papers to obtain membership to the College of Accounting Technicians. With further experience she is now an Associated Chartered Accountant.
Currently Kay is Team Leader of one of our accounting teams. She oversees the training programme for the new trainees and is a mentor for those gaining their AT and ACA qualifications. Away from work Kay likes to spend time with husband Ross, gardening, reading and catching up with her children based in Christchurch and Perth.

Alicia Thompson - BCom BA CA

Alicia was employed as a graduate accountant in 2004 after completing degrees in Accounting and Japanese at Otago University.
While working at Malloch McClean Alicia has completed her CA qualification. She is a senior accountant and is a mentor for those gaining their NZICA qualifications. She is also involved in the firm’s social activities.
Alicia plays tennis in her spare time. She also enjoys spending time with friends and family.

Tracey McGibbon - BCom BSc CA

Tracey joined Malloch McClean in February 1999 as a trainee accountant after spending one year of full-time study towards her Bachelor of Commerce at Southland Polytechnic. She continued her studies part-time for two years while working at Malloch McClean before moving to Dunedin to complete her qualifications at Otago University.
She graduated in December 2004 with a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Information Science. Since her return to Malloch McClean in 2005 she has completed her Chartered Accountancy qualification.
Her current role at Malloch McClean involves preparing financial accounts for mainly farming and business clients and assisting with the administration and client queries regarding BankLink. She also oversees the firm’s XPA accounting package.
Tracey's spare time is taken up helping manage and playing football for Western FC and is trying to take up golf.

Shari Wilson - BAcc

Shari joined Malloch McClean in 2007 as a Trainee Accountant, having spent 2006 studying full-time at SIT towards her Bachelor of Accounting.
In 2010 Shari completed her degree by correspondence through Massey University.
Outside work Shari enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends.

Jane Blackmore

Jane started on the wages team in 2004 and transferred to the accounting team in 2006 as an accounting assistant. Jane and her husband have three adult children and a granddaughter, and they run a sheep and beef farm.
Jane’s interests include handwork, reading and travel. Jane is currently treasurer of Business & Professional Women – Southland.

Hayden Edwards

Hayden joined Malloch McClean in 2010 as an accounting trainee.
He is currently studying towards a Bachelor of Commerce at SIT and then at Otago University.
Outside work Hayden enjoys a variety of sports including soccer, basketball, touch rugby and cricket. |
Liam O'Shea
 |
Liam joined Malloch McClean in 2011 as an Accounting Trainee after having a successful final year at Central Southland College.
Liam is currently studying towards a Bachelor of Commerce at SIT.
In his spare time Liam enjoys spending time with friends and family, as well as training towards doing a half marathon. |
