Alwine Barlow - BCom CA
Team Leader


 

Alwine is a born and bred Southlander. She graduated from Otago University in 1967 with a BCom in accounting and was admitted to the Society of Accountants in 1971.

After working in New Zealand for three years she and her husband spent two years working in London and then toured Europe before returning to Invercargill. In London Alwine worked in the Trust Department of a large accounting firm.

Alwine commenced with Malloch McClean in 1983 and is a team leader.

She has a son and daughter, both married working in London and another daughter married and living in Auckland.

Alwine’s interests include planning visits to see her family. Being a Church Treasurer keeps her busy as does her interest in gardening and photography.

 

Tracey Lambert - BCom BSc CA

 
Tracey joined Malloch McClean in February 1999 as a trainee accountant after spending one year of full-time study towards her Bachelor of Commerce at Southland Polytechnic. She continued her studies part-time for two years while working at Malloch McClean before moving to Dunedin to complete her qualifications at Otago University.

She graduated in December 2004 with a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Information Science.  Since her return to Malloch McClean in 2005 she has completed her Chartered Accountancy qualification.

Her current role at Malloch McClean involves preparing financial accounts for mainly farming and business clients and assisting with the administration and client queries regarding BankLink.  She also oversees the firm’s XPA accounting package.

In 2008, Tracey travelled around the UK, Europe and America with her husband and parents and has since been to Hawaii for her honeymoon in February 2009.

Tracey plays soccer for Riverton AFC and also played for the Southland representative team this season.  She has also played at the last two masters games in Dunedin for the Southern Stars and came away with Gold and Silver medals.

 

Brooke Peterson - BCom DipGrad CA

 
Brooke started as an accounting trainee in 1998.  After having two years off to study for her BCom Dip Grad at Otago University she returned to Malloch McClean in 2003.

Upon completing her Chartered Accountant Qualification in 2007 she followed the All Blacks to the Rugby World Cup.  She has recently returned in October 2009 after two years in the United Kingdom and Perth, Australia.

 

Outside of work Brooke’s interest include reading, cooking and rugby supporting.

Tracey Gibb - BCom

 
Tracey started at Malloch McClean in April 2005 after completing her Bachelor of Commerce at the end of 2004.

During 2007 she began working towards her Chartered Accountancy Qualifications and hopes to continue these during 2009.

Tracey’s role at Malloch McClean includes managing the tax system for her team.

Tracey’s spare time is spent looking after her daughter and actively participating in social club activities.

 Karen Hughes

 
In April 2008 Karen returned to Malloch McClean from parental leave to work two days a week on Alwine’s team and assist with technical tax matters as required.

She first started at Malloch McClean as an accounting trainee in 1985 with time off to complete her BCom degree. She became a Chartered Accountant in 1990. In 1993 she took a few months off to travel overseas. She was Office Manager for a number of years and then the Tax and Technical Manager as well as a Team leader and looked after a number of clients.

Outside of work, Karen plays netball and is on the committee of Oreti Park Speedway (motorcycle speedway) where on race day you will find her lap scoring and tallying the results. She also served on the Burt Munro Challenge committee for the first two years.

 
 Nadia Collins -BBS

 
Nadia started work with the firm in 1997 and is now working part-time. Nadia completed her degree by correspondence through Massey University and her PCE1 exam. Currently she is formalising the paperwork for her ACA qualification.

Nadia and her husband Josh are kept very busy with their three young children.

When she has spare time she enjoys reading and catching up with her friends.

Greg Findlater - BCom

 
Greg joined Malloch McClean as a graduate in January 2007 after completing his Bachelor of Commerce at Otago University.

Greg is currently in the process of aiming towards achieving his Chartered Accountant qualification.

Outside work Greg moonlights as the lead guitarist for the band Midnight Cruise, and is also involved in a range of social sports including touch rugby, soccer, basketball and netball. In his free time Greg likes to spend time with his new wife, family and friends.

 

Lee Clark
 

Lee joined Malloch McClean in 2009 after graduating from Otago University with a Bachelor of Commerce in 2008.

Lee is currently studying part-time and working towards achieving her Chartered Accountant qualification.

Outside of work, Lee plays social indoor netball and enjoys in participating in the firm’s social sport teams.

 
Nicole Booth

 
Nicole started at Malloch McClean in 2006 after completing sixth form at Central Southland College.

Nicole is now in her final year of study towards her NZ Diploma in Business and is hoping to complete her Account Technician qualification mid 2010.

Currently Nicole is the office’s BankLink expert and enjoys teaching clients how to use the software.

Outside of work she enjoys spending her time socialising with friends and family, playing social sport and harness racing.

 

Beverley Brown

 
Having had time off for the birth of her children, Bev is now back working part-time. Bev loves animals and spends her time looking after them and her husband and two sons.

Ethan Francis

 

 

Ethan joined Malloch McClean this year after having a successful final year at Aurora College.

As a trainee accountant while studying at SIT he is currently enjoying his new team and all the new experiences.

Ethan is a proud born and bred southlander.  In his spare time Ethan enjoys playing touch rugby, basketball and rugby.
